and stands sourcing higher-quality franks and
topping them with condiments that are far more
exciting than the standard mustard and relish.

THE STORY: Inside this minuscle, red-roofed house,
owners Layla Vartanian and Gayle Davis shout orders
in the style of Saturday Night Live's famous "cheezboiger-
cheezboiger-cheezboiger" skit.
THE DOGS: Although it's 400 miles from the Windy City,
Hot Diggity serves up Chicago's Vienna Beef frankfurters
and offers steamed or char-grilled Chicago-style dogs.
THE REST: The Italian beef sandwich with grilled onions
and giardinera peppers is another Chicago riff.
